professional career in Computing and Information Technology.
It gives you an in-depth knowledge of software engineering,
information systems and the practical skills to apply
this knowledge. In this programme, students are exposed
to various areas of computer applications including
the latest developments keeping pace with the industry
Programme Outline:
BCA is a three-year full-time University
Programme in Computer Application resulting in the award
of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application.
Objectives:
To develop appropriate IT skills, Knowledge and
attitude in students, so as to make them competent
and also inculcate entrepreneurship skills among
them.
To impart sound knowledge in key areas of computer
science or industrial computing.
To carry out the required analysis and synthesis
involved in computer systems, information systems
and computer applications.
To demonstrate professional competence in developing
software, in its design and implementation.
To develop sound practical skills to enable the
students address problems which arise from computer
systems and applications.
Course Structure :
This program is divided into Six Semesters,
each carrying 1200 marks. The programme also consists
of Industrial Visits, Seminars & Project Work.
Duration :
Three academic years.
Eligibility Criteria :
Any candidate who has passed HSC (10
+ 2) exam from any stream with English as passing subject
and secured minimum 45% marks.
Admission Procedure :
Admissions will be made strictly according
to the rules and procedures laid down by the University
and the entrance test to be conducted by the college
on first come first serve basis
Future Prospects:
Students are groomed to become future
managers in various areas like IT, Software Development,
Project Management, etc.

Grading System and Assessment :

CHOICE follows the percentile
fashion of grading
The assessment takes place in the concluding
part of every semester. These assessments, some of which
can also be ‘self – assessing’
types, shall consist of the following :
Written assessment.
Group Discussions.
Presentation of Projects.
Field Work.
Personal Interactions.
Observations of the concerned faculty.
Also it is worth noting that certification
can be detained under any of the following situations:
Less than 85 % attendance.
Absence or aversion from Ongoing Assignments,
Projects, and any practical work.
Projects / Reports not documented and submitted
or presented completely and / or in time.
Failure in undergoing any of the assessments
Fee Structure :
As per University norms and Value-Addition
Package of the Institute.
Payment Conditions :
The following condition apply to
payment of program fees and other dues:
1) Fees are payable by Demand Draft
of a Nationalized bank drawn in favor of “Director,
Choice College of Arts & commerce” and payable
at PUNE.
2) Fees once paid are non-refundable
excepting the security deposit, which shall be returned
on the successful completion of the program.
3) The total program fee including
the security deposit will stand forfeited if a student
once enrolled quits studies or is disqualified to study
on any and every account.
